Analytical Practice

The analytical practice of Dr. Robert Aziz is a highly specialized practice, typically restricted to individuals who have already completed no less than 75 clinical hours with other analysts/therapists. Many of Dr. Aziz’s analysands are themselves practicing analysts and therapists looking to further their theoretical and clinical understanding.

In light of the fact that this practice is North American in scope, analytical work proceeds by way of both in person contact and telephone work. Such work can be very productive, but it has limitations.

One thing that analytical work at a distance cannot provide is therapeutic containment. Accordingly, the analytical work offered by Dr. Aziz under these limitations is of a consultative rather than therapeutic nature. Dream analysis is largely utilized as a means of accounting for both conscious and unconscious dynamics.
